He studied jazz guitar at Triton College and University of Illinios Chicago and has a wide range of experiences from playing in original metal bands, working in rock/pop cover bands, to performing with some of Chicago’s most notable jazz musicians. With over two years of teaching under his belt Adam believes that we learn music like we learn language. It is important to learn scales, chords, reading, and music theory in the same way that we learn spelling and grammar. But, in order to find your own voice you have to listen to great musicians, transcribe their ideas, and use what you learn to develop your own musical vocabulary. Adam has taught several students from beginners to advanced players and strives to keep them disciplined but always leaves room for fun.
