Kevin is a dedicated musician and educator with a strong foundation in classical music and theory. His teaching approach emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of rhythm, technique, and effective practice strategies. Beginning his musical journey in grade school with the trumpet, Kevin has since expanded his expertise to include guitar, upright and electric bass, ukulele, and vocal training. Over his 20 years of musicianship, he has performed in numerous concerts and shows, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to the craft. Throughout his academic and professional experience, he has worked with musicians of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced students, providing instruction in instrumental performance and music theory ranging from fundamental to advanced concepts. Kevin carries a lifelong passion for helping others on their own musical journey, fostering both technical skill and a deep appreciation for music.

Robert

Robert has been teaching Guitar and Bass (upright & electric) for well over 25 years. He majored in Music performance locally at North Central College in Naperville, IL, and College of DuPage. He spent many years perfroming with various bands across the country and even still performs today! His many years of teaching have allowed him to meet many diverse students and given him the confidence to teach any age or skill level. He prides himself on the understanding that every student has different needs and his ability to adjust his teaching methods based on the specific learning styles and goals of each student. Robert believes in taking a more modern approach in his teaching allowing him to connect better with students and relate to their music interests.

Joe
Joe is a passionate musician, educator, and band director with extensive experience in music performance and education, specializing in percussion. He holds a Master of Music from the University of Kentucky, and a Bachelor of Music in percussion and jazz studies. Throughout his career, he has taught at institutions such as Jackson State University, Mississippi Valley State University, Chicago State University, and the University of Mississippi, mentoring students in percussion techniques, marching band performance, music appreciation, and pedagogy. In addition to his university teaching experience, Joe has worked as an assistant band director, private instructor, and adjunct professor, guiding students in both classical and jazz music. Beyond percussion, he is skilled in teaching piano, string instruments such as guitar, electric bass, and ukulele, as well as woodwind instruments including flute, clarinet, and saxophone. He has directed ensembles, coached drum lines, and organized performances for professional sporting events, drum line competitions, and "Battle of the Bands" showcases. Dedicated to music education, Joe is committed to inspiring musicians at all levels, from young learners to graduate students, fostering a lifelong appreciation for music and excellence in performance.
