Private Lessons with Jonathan
Jonathan
Now completing his second year at WMA, "Mr. Jonathan" fervently believes that developing technical proficiency at the piano can be both satisfying and enjoyable. He commenced his piano and music theory studies at the age of six and earned his Bachelor's Degree from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. At Muhlenberg, he orchestrated the College Choir's inaugural foreign tour, pioneered piano accompaniment for an entire opera, and directed the first full-orchestra Broadway musical in the College's newly-opened Center for the Arts.
With each student, he strives to inspire careful listening and the attention to rhythm that will enable them to play harmoniously with other musicians and groups. Indeed, the majority of his students, some as young as five, are engaging in duets, playing songs like "Happy Birthday" from memory, and participating in WMA recitals. Many of his students take up a second instrument and also perform in their school orchestra or band.
Beyond his teaching responsibilities, Jonathan continues his own studies of chamber music and takes pleasure in accompanying the Celebration Singers at the Unitarian Church of Hinsdale
