Ideal for beginner and intermediate students, this camp is designed to guide participants through all the fundamentals of ukulele playing. Students will learn proper playing posture, tuning, single-note melodies, chords, strumming techniques, and how to care for the instrument.
Beginning students will leave the camp with a solid grasp of basic ukulele techniques and a repertoire of popular songs. Instruments will be provided for use during the camp, and as a special offer, those who sign up for regular ukulele lessons after the summer camps will get to keep their instruments.

Mateo
Mateo is a multi-instrumentalist and composer who started playing guitar over 12 years ago. He has performed in numerous piano recitals in Colombia. After moving to Chicago a few years ago, Mateo received a scholarship at his college and played in various jazz festivals with professional college jazz ensembles, sharing the stage with renowned musicians such as Melissa Aldana, Carl Allen, and more.
