Sabina Fijor is a classically trained cellist based in the Chicagoland area, recognized for her expressive musicality, collaborative sensitivity, and deep commitment to both chamber and orchestral performance. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and Music from Elmhurst University, where she cultivated a unique artistic voice that bridges the visual and musical arts. As a former Elmhurst University Concerto Competition Winner, Sabina was featured as a soloist with the Elmhurst University Orchestra, earning distinction for her technical mastery and emotional depth in her performance of the Shostakovich Cello Concerto No. 1. She now performs regularly with orchestras and chamber ensembles across the region, contributing a refined and dynamic presence to every stage she joins. In addition to her performance career, Sabina is a dedicated mentor to emerging young musicians. She fosters a love of ensemble playing and supports her students in developing their own expressive voices. Whether performing or teaching, Sabina is driven by a passion for musical connection and a belief in the transformative power of shared artistic experience.
