Soorya is a classically trained pianist with over 16 years of piano experience. He holds an ARSM Diploma in Piano Performance with Merit from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM), London, and earned High Distinction in ABRSM Grade 8 Piano in 2019. He was also invited to perform at the prestigious ABRSM High Scorers’ Concert. Soorya has experience teaching beginner through intermediate students, with an emphasis on developing strong foundations in technique, rhythm, sight-reading, ear training, and music theory. As a performer, he has played both as a soloist and ensemble pianist at university events, school programs, church services, and cultural performances, including events with audiences of 300–400 people. In addition to performing and teaching, Soorya enjoys composing and arranging popular songs. His favorite composer is Franz Liszt, and one of his favorite pieces to perform is Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. As an educator, Soorya strives to make each lesson engaging, encouraging, and structured. His goal is to help every student build confidence at the piano, develop strong musical fundamentals, and cultivate a genuine appreciation for music and performance.
